Announcers Jeff Van Gundy and Mike Breen need to stop constantly praising LeBron James and his Heat teammates.
MIAMI - When local sportscasters constantly praise one team over another it is called being a homer. But when they do it in the NBA Finals it is called a cheap shot.
Those were the sentiments of TNT analyst Charles Barkley. The man known as The Fat Bro stated that it was as obvious as the belly on Kim Kardashian that game announcers Mike Breen and Jeff Van Gundy spent a lot of their talk time oohing and awing everything that LeBron James and his Heat teammates did.
Barkley said that he wondered if the twin twits are on the Miami Heat payroll since they barely mentioned the other team (San Antonio) who by the way, won the game.
Van Gundy and Breen collectively did manage to mention Tim Duncan’s name twice, Manu Ginobili’s name twice, and Tony Parker’s an amazing three times during the 3 hour telecast.
Meanwhile the Miami Heat announcers [i.e. Van Gundy and Breen] managed to mention LeBron James’ name 79 times, Dwyane Wade’s name 73 times, and Chris Bosh’s name 71 times.
Van Gundy, who looks like a homely computer geek, also mentioned Barbara Walters name 42 times, Gary Busey’s name 38 times, and Lindsay Lohan’s name 29 times.
SIDENOTE: Charles Barkley said that if the twin twits keep on with their very obvious childish game-playing then Commissioner David Stern should seriously consider hitting both weasels with technicals and a $ 10,000 fine each.
