Franck Ribery has committed his future to Bayern Munich and Daniel Van Buyten has also signed a contract extension with the club.
Ribery has penned a new two-year deal to extend his stay until 2017. The 30-year-old France international has been with the German club since 2007 after joining from Marseille and has scored 74 goals for the team in all competitions.
The midfielder played a major role in Bayern’s historic treble-winning season that saw a dramatic 2-1 UEFA Champions League victory over fellow Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund at Wembley last month.
With esteemed manager Pep Guardiola taking the reins at the club ahead of next season, Ribery has insisted that his future lies in Munich and has even discussed his wishes for a testimonial in the future.
Bayern have also extended the contract of defender Van Buyten, who will now remain at the club until 2014.
The 35-year-old Belgium international said: “I am delighted to be able to help with all of the possible title defences in the next season.”
