Houston Dynamo have moved top of CONCACAF Champions League Group 1 thanks to a 2-1 win over Panamanian side Arabe Unido on Tuesday.
Dynamo trailed after just eight minutes at their BBVA Compass Stadium in Texas, when Abdiel Arroyo slotted home from the penalty spot.
But Cam Weaver pulled Houston level on 23 minutes and when the big striker scored his second 15 minutes from the end, the Dynamo had done enough to secure the three points.
Houston have four points and lead Group 1 by one point from Arabe Unido, while Trinidad and Tobago team W Connection are bottom on one point.
In Group 2, Sporting Kansas City made it two wins from two games thanks to a 2-0 triumph over Olimpia in Honduras.
Soony Saad did all the scoring for the visitors, with the 21-year-old attacker netting in the 28th and 69th minutes, the latter from the penalty spot, to give Kansas City the win.
In Wednesday’s other game, Cartagines took a one-point lead at the top of Group 8 thanks to a 0-0 draw with El Salvadoran outfit Isidro Metapan.
Cartagines are one point ahead of LA Galaxy, while Isidro are three points off the leaders.
